Our Shea Butter Melt & Pour Glycerin Soap Base is formulated with 100% Pure Shea Butter incorporated into the base — delivering shea butter's, skin-barrier-supporting fatty acids (Oleic + Stearic), and natural Vitamin E alongside the convenience of a standard melt and pour base.
Shea butter is one of the most clinically researched natural skin actives. Its Triterpenes have documented anti-inflammatory efficacy comparable to mild topical steroids in some studies. Its fatty acid profile seals moisture into the skin barrier. And its Allantoin content promotes skin cell regeneration — making a shea butter soap bar genuinely functional beyond just conditioning.
This is the Sulphate-Free version of our Shea Butter Melt & Pour Glycerin Soap Base. The lather is slightly creamier and less voluminous than the SLS version — a characteristic of genuinely mild cleansing systems. Suitable for sensitive skin, daily facial use, and children's soap.

Specifications
Shelf Life Details: Shelf life begins on the date of manufacture and is defined as the shelf life of an ingredient when it is stored and handled properly. The shelf life is offered as a general guideline.
Store in cool, dry location below 30°C. Avoid warm storage conditions which accelerate rancidity
Do not freeze — thawing causes texture changes
How to Use
This is a complete, ready-to-use melt and pour soap base. No lye, no cold process, no specialist equipment needed.
Step 1: Cut into smaller cubes & Melt on medium-low power only in 20-second microwave bursts, stirring between each. Or use a double boiler on very low heat. Never exceed 65°C. Do not boil it may begin to discolour at high temperatures.
Step 2: Watch for colour change: if the base begins to turn distinctly yellow or develops a cooked-milk smell, it has been overheated. Reduce temperature before continuing.
Step 3: Once completely melted, cool to 55°C before adding fragrance (1–3%).
Step 4: Add colour if desired — very small amounts are needed as the warm base tone already gives a natural, rich appearance.
Step 5: Pour smoothly into moulds. Spritz surface immediately with IPA.
Step 6: Allow to set for 3–5 hours at room temperature.
Step 7: Wrap immediately in cellophane after unmoulding.
