Real Goat Milk Melt & Pour Glycerin Soap Base - Sulphate based | Real Goat Milk
Rich Lather · Real Goat Milk · Creamy Foam · Skin-Nourishing · Not Vegan |
The richest, creamiest lather in our standard range — goat milk delivers lactic acid exfoliation, deep nourishment, and a silky skin feel that your customers will notice from the very first use.
Our Real Goat Milk Melt & Pour Glycerin Soap Base is formulated with real goat milk — not synthetic goat milk fragrance or flavour, but actual goat milk in the base formulation. Goat milk is one of nature's most skin-compatible dairy ingredients: its pH (close to human skin's natural range), lactic acid content (a gentle AHA exfoliant), and rich fatty acid profile make it immediately recognisable as a premium skin care ingredient.
The SLS-based cleansing system ensures the high-foam lather that soap users expect, while the goat milk and glycerin content deliver conditioning that clearly differentiates a finished bar from any mass-market soap. This base produces a creamy, opaque bar with a naturally warm off-white colour.
This base contains animal-derived ingredients (goat milk) and is therefore not vegan. This base contains a sulphate-based cleansing system (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate), which produces a powerful, high-volume lather that is familiar to most soap users. It is suitable for body and hand soap applications. For facial soap or sensitive skin formulations, consider our Sulphate-Free range instead.
KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
Goat milk naturally contains lactic acid, a mild alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates dead skin cells and brightens skin tone over time
The combination of SLS and milk proteins creates a particularly dense, creamy, long-lasting lather

How to Use
This is a complete, ready-to-use melt and pour soap base. No lye, no cold process, no specialist equipment needed.
Step 1: Cut into smaller cubes & Melt on medium-low power only in 20-second microwave bursts, stirring between each. Or use a double boiler on very low heat. Never exceed 65°C. Do not boil it may begin to discolour at high temperatures.
Step 2: Watch for colour change: if the base begins to turn distinctly yellow or develops a cooked-milk smell, it has been overheated. Reduce temperature before continuing.
Step 3: Once completely melted, cool to 55°C before adding fragrance (1–3%).
Step 4: Add colour if desired — very small amounts are needed as the warm base tone already gives a natural, rich appearance.
Step 5: Pour smoothly into moulds. Spritz surface immediately with IPA.
Step 6: Allow to set for 3–5 hours at room temperature.
Step 7: Wrap immediately in cellophane after unmoulding.
